On 1–3 February, Ķīpsala will host the 26th International Travel Trade Fair Balttour 2019, where more than 850 participants will be offering the best travel packages and destinations in Latvia and around the world. The biggest selection, special offers and an amazing atmosphere in one place!
The “Travel Latvia!” hall will invite you to discover the local tourism opportunities offered by the expositions of Latvian regions. Those looking to travel will learn of the latest tourist attractions, such as castles, manors and museums, as well as active leisure opportunities, such as walking trails, observation towers and others. Anyone can rediscover Latvia!
Balttour Forum for Professionals
On 30 January, the Balttour business forum preceding the trade fair will gather tourism industry professionals. Forum participants will tell representatives of tourism companies about performing due diligence on cooperation partners and the impact of digitalisation on tourism. Doctor of Economics Ēriks Lingebērziņš will present the results of the largescale study “The Travel Habits of the Citizens of Latvian Cities” by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia and Turība University, which will come in particularly handy for regional tourism organisations.
