Joint Chamber Dinner with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Latvia

You are kindly invited to the first Joint Chamber Dinner in 2022. Our speaker will be Mr Artis Pabriks, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Latvia. The event is organised by Irish Latvian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia.

Speaker:
Since January 2019 Artis Pabriks has been the Minister for Defence and Deputy Prime Minister of Latvia. From 2014 to 2018, he was a Member of the European Parliament. He has graduated Latvia University, obtaining a degree in history and completed his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Aarhus (Denmark) in 1996. Artis Pabriks has been the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2004-2007), Minister of Defence (2010-2014). Pabriks has an Academic title and a scientific degree: Professor, Ph.D., Member of the Academy of Sciences. He has been the first rector of Vidzeme University College. The main research interests have been: Multiculturalism, nationalism, security policy, ethnic policy, ideologies, gender issues, human rights.
