Welcome to our April Business Breakfast ”Good Morning Latvia, the Greenovative Country!” with the guest speaker Ms Paula Prauliņa, Acting Director of Latvian Institute, in the city centre on April 17, 2019
The term “greenovative” – the combination of words “green” and “innovative” – nicely illustrates the desired course of development for Latvia and the society: the closeness to nature and ability to get inspired by it, as well as the tendency to look for ever new, modern and sustainable solutions, becoming an important hotspot for start-ups in Europe.

Paula Prauliņa, Acting Director of Latvian Institute, career in communications started back in 2007 as the international news reporter for the biggest Latvian business daily “Dienas bizness”. After 7 years as journalist and editor, she crossed to the public sector to experience first-hand the first Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, working for the Public Diplomacy and Culture Programme department. As of 2019, Paula is the Acting Director of the Latvian Institute – a state institution whose main goal is the promotion of Latvia’s positive international recognition. To complement the practice with academic merits, last year Paula enrolled the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, aiming to become one of the first Masters in Strategic Communication and Governance in Latvia.
