Welcome to the 2nd Irish Dance International Competition Riga Open Feis that will take place on 19th of August 2018, in Riga; adjudicator Denise Elebert and musician – Alan Burns.
There are dances of Beginners, Primary and Intermediate levels, as well as Premier Championship for Intermediate and Open dancers. You may also dance ceili or show dances.
Irish dancers of many dance schools in Europa participated at the competition, for example from Latvia, Russia, Finnland, Norway. Many thanks to the Adjudicator Denise Elebert from Dublin and musician Alan Burns, to the Ambassador of Ireland Seamus Mac Aonghusa to the Bergi Culture Center and to our sponsors for milk shakes of the “Baltais” and pastries of the “Cannelle Bakery” and to all volunteers. The Feis was organised by Nastasia Belaia (“Teire School”), Signe Mainule-Meidropa (“Moonlight Dancers), Ruta Kapustaite (“Ceili Rue”), Irish Center of Culture, Ilze Kreslina (Irish Latvian Chamber of Commerce).
