Ambershow on Claremorris Community Radio

The special guest on The Ambershow on Claremorris Community Radio on 94.6fm was Ilze Kreslina Chairperson of ILCC. The show is hosted by Skarleta Mukane and Noel Lyons and broadcast locally and podcast to reach the Latvian diaspora throughout Ireland and even in Latvia. It is a mix of Latvian music and chat and promotes all things Latvian including accounts of all Latvian events in Ireland. This show advertised the aims and objectives of the ILCC as well as informing the Irish listenership of the efforts being made to link Irish businesses, local governments with their Latvian equivalents while also highlighting the richness of Latvian culture, traditions, education and expertise. Ilze`s second visit to Claremorris this year to make a presentation to the most senior officials of the local municipal authorities was an outstanding success in building bridges of understanding and information which will lead to a celebration of Latgalian and Latvian awareness of business, culture, and history in the west of Ireland next September. She spoke eloquently of her experiences and of the benefits of visiting and doing business in Latvia while promoting the very high standards of Latvian multiculturism and polylingual skills which would be a huge asset to Irish business interests in the Baltic region.

The hosts also insisted on also  displaying the prodigious talents of her daughter Annija Kreslina who has an amazing voice with songs from Medins, Bach and Rubenstien. She certainly has an assured future in the music world.

Ilze has created quite an impression with the local business community and has impressed with her communication and presentation skills and would be an asset to the International based businesses in the west of Ireland region. She has had several meetings with local government representatives and has linked with the western based Latvian Association LatWest who will be co-hosting events in Claremorris in September.
