Security Challenges for the Baltic Region in the light of the upcoming Latvian Presidency of the EU

Irish Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Latvia present a Luncheon with Latvian Minister of Defence Mr. Raimonds Vejonis

 As security situation in the Baltic Region has changed significantly Latvia had to take measures to strengthen its security by increasing defence spendings and increased Allied presence in the Baltics. 

Mr. Vejonis will present an overview of the Ministry of Defence activities, touching lightly on measures contained within Latvia`s 2015 Budget. Discussion will also cover cooperative development activity between Latvia and NATO.

Lastly, the presentation will outline major activities and investments underway within Latvia and conclude with a brief Q&A session.
