Joint Chamber Business Luncheon
On the 10th of May Irish Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia kindly invite you to the Business Luncheon with Mr Andris Liepiņš, the Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport.
He will be speaking about the growth and development of the aviation industry as well as Riga International Airport.
Riga International Airport is the largest air transport hub in the Baltic states with over 5 million passengers, offering regular passenger, cargo and postal deliveries to 79 destinations. In 2015 the airport activities were positively influenced by the general growth of the Latvian economy and the relatively low fuel prices. Another positive factor was the attractiveness of Riga and Latvia as a travel destination, several new airlines and new destinations which continuously improved the passenger number. The most popular destinations in 2015 were London, Moscow, Frankfurt, Oslo and Helsinki.
Mr Liepiņš was appointed as a new Chairman in November 2014. He has been a Deputy State Secretary, Ministry of Economics, and also served on the Supervisory Board of the AirBaltic.
