Recently the European Parliament approved the new EU Budget for 2014-2020, approving €960 billion spending plans over the next seven years. During the previous financial period Latvia has been quite successful in attracting EU co-funded programs by the level of contracted grants. In addition to the financial opportunities from the EU funds, Norway provides €73 million in EEA grants to Latvia over a four year period.
