Latvians Triumph in European Robotics Championship

Three Latvian-made robots triumphed in the European robotics championship’s prestigious Robot Sumo challenge, claiming the three top spots.
The win automatically qualifies the teams for the World Robot Sumo Championship in Japan, meaning Europe will be represented by Latvia.
The European championship „RobotChallenge” featured designers from all over the world with their self-made, autonomous robots in 15 different competitions.
„RobotChallenge” is an international championship for mobile robots. It takes place annually in Vienna, Austria. Since 2004, more than 1000 robots from all over the world have taken part in the competition.
